One sunny, cloudy, sunny, cloudy, sunny Saturday afternoon in May, about 25 damn fast motherfathers gathered for a show of speed, stamina, a keen sense of direction and an instinctual knowledge of the location of several Beer Stores… on bicycles.

Great turn out last night at La Carrera for the Pants for Chunks event. Unfortunately prior commitments kept me from the finish but I’m told Brewer took it, don’t know second and third was Charlie after a tangle with a Jeep. Nice recovery! Congrats to all - sounds like it was a blast.

Lots going on these days. Tonight is For the Love of Cycling the fundraiser for Chris Kazstelewicz - the cyclist who lost his leg to a rage fueled cabbie who decided to use his vehicle as a weapon (read Chris’ story- in the West end at Toronto Free Gallery (1277 Bloor W). Also:

Friday Night’s For Racin’!

Thanks to those who came out for the ride last night in the amazing weather. A fast paced loop of several hoods followed by some great downhill spin was just what we needed. Hope to see more of them old faces out next week!

Now onto the business at hand. There are a lot of people out there without pants - it happens to the best of us. This time it has happened to one of our own, so if you don’t want to see more hairy ass in your face next time you’re screaming across town head over to La Carrera tomorrow night and help pant this poor gent.

Holy crap, ohmagawd - it’s finally here! Yeah that’s right, after a million blustery months I do believe the sun is here to stay. And with it comes our irregular weekly group ride. Join us tonight at the spot - Lake Devo, Victoria & Gould - at 9pm with blinkies, buckets and your favourite steed and we shall tear it up. As always, pace and route to be determined by the group that shows.

Be there or be somewheres else - but don’t complain there’s never a ride

Back To The Future

Although you’d never guess by the sandblasting your face took this morning, the weather should be a o.k. tonight for more bike fun. So grab your buckets and blinkies and meet us at the spot - Lake Devo, Ryerson Campus - again at 8pm.

As usual, route will be decided by those who show and all are most welcome. Tonight we’ll be concluding the festivities at the Steam Whistle Roundhouse (map) as The Future Bike Art Show is opening.
